Scratch That (The Agency)!

January 3, 2008   Filed Under: Babysitting, College, Finances, Modeling, Weather   295 words

Okay, I’m not going to bother with the agency. I’ve got more advice from Shivon…and a comment from a few people (Nadiyya being one) advising me to be wary of shady agencies. I believe that God sends us signs…and I’m going to listen. I will still try out the modeling thing, though, but in the way that Shivon has suggested.

The people I babysit for are absolutely the coolest! Today, we went to Aventura Mall, where we had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. I didn’t have any cheesecake (they weren’t and I didn’t want to seem greedy), but I had a delicious plate of Four Cheese Pasta…even though I could have made it much better.

After reading Tai’s blog today, I remembered that I have to order my books for school. I order them online since the school’s bookstore has the stuff for 2-3 times as much (and sometimes 20x…once I got a used book for $5) and it takes a little while for them to come in. I recommend CampusBooks.com…they compare prices from all the major booksellers. Just a few weeks ago I was dying for school to end, but right now I can’t wait for school to start back. I haven’t learned much over the break and I’m starting to feel dumb.

The weather has been so awful here in Florida. It’s getting to New York temperatures, and quite frankly, I don’t like it! I can’t wait for these few days of super cold to be over…we’re in the 20 & 30 degrees right now! I travel with my blanket as if I were a baby!

Hey How are you? Thanks for the comment on my hosting site. Yeah, I try to make my plans have a lot of space, yet really cheap prices. Hope you have had a good christmas/new years Bye x

Thanks for the comment dear ;) We originally needed batteries for my old as shit digital camera (which has since been replaced) I just bought too damn many haha! Ooh modelling, I wish I was leggy enough to try it out! Good luck though ;)

haha, new york temperatures? xD i don't think so, honey! today ended up getting down to -15°. top that one, you mercury woman. used books for $5? that's beyond awesome. last semester's books cost me a total of $280, and i'm a part-timer. i almost couldn't afford my rent so i could stay in school. it's good you're getting advice from an already developed model. those agencies can be such a burden.

Tis very cold here too. I think my feet are frozen to the floor. Thank-you for your comment your CSS and layout are amazing!

School books are quite expensive but they're suppose to be cheaper than the other places. I wish it was cold here, it's about 36 Degrees Celsius. I hate this weather.

Happy new year and good luck with the modeling thing :P

Comment by Exene on January 4th, 2008 @ 2:10 pm

Yeah I heard some of these people are fake modeling agencies that make you take off your clothes and post them on the internet so it's important to be wary. I still have to enroll for school and it's hard to find cheap books. thanks for the tip.

The Cheesecake Factory is amazing. I haven't been there in a while. Buying books for college is ridiculously pricey. My sister's books for her first semester was like $700.

lol you live in Florida. So do I. I live in Orlando though. We may cross paths yet. <3 Voni

The cold here is horrible too. It's starting to finally feel like winter but I hate the cold. Hope you had a great New Year

I Gotta Get Organized!…

I absolutely need to be more organized! Can you imagine how much easier my life would be and how much better my grades would be if I could only focus? I know for a fact that I’d be an overachieving brainiac…and I’d probably have a new…
