Just Finished Converting CuteNews to WordPress

So, I think I just proved that anything is possible. I’ve made my layout WordPresstastic! I didn’t think it was possible, but the process was quick and I escaped the aid of tutorials. Chris from recalescent recommended a tutorial, but it had 3 parts. The first part had 15 pages, so it scared me off.

Then I just downloaded a free theme and took a look, and realized that it’s the exact same thing as cutenews. The problem that most people have is that the tutorials written for it are crappy. Or maybe I’m just too impatient. They include too much information for people who are used to just putting “insert cutenews blog here” and information equals intimidation. Right? Exactly.

I may also make a tutorial for converting your current layout (that’s for cutenews) to WP. It really takes 5 minutes, guys! I still have some stuff to fix, but that will have to wait for the next week (maybe a new layout?), because this whole time I was supposed to be studying for Pre-Calculus and Bio II.

I was never able to do Wordpress. I’ve tried and tried, with and without tutorials but I think my impatience was also part of giving up I love the layout you have up

Were you able to import all of your CuteNews entries and comments into Wordpress?
