My Beautiful Hair
February 3, 2008 Filed Under: College, Hair, TV 263 words
Talk about lazy…I’ve been putting off washing my hair for at least 2 weeks now. Gross. And you should have seen the before picture. I’ve been walking around looking like a total bum, going to school like that, and wearing a wig if I get to go somewhere (which has only been an interview & the club a few weeks ago…what an exciting life!).
Well, today I finally found the strength to take up the daunting task of washing my hair. The whole process of washing it, oiling it (I’m Black for those of you who are wondering why I’m putting oil in my hair), and drying it took about 2 hours. At least it looks decent now. I’m surprised it didn’t fall off. Seriously, it was worse than the brillo-pad hair girl in The Millionaire Matchmaker. By the way, does anyone know how to get on the waiting list? Just curious. I still have to straighten my hair, but I’ve taken a jump in the right direction.
I have so many papers to write that it’s not even funny. I hope I survive after this semester. On a brighter note, I’ve been putting a little bit of the procrastination aside, and I’ve done pilates two days in a row (today will hopefully make 3), finished one current event 2 days before the due-date (usually I do those same-day), and I’ve even reviewed some Biology notes (for the final that’s not until May!). I feel so proud of myself…that’s why I allowed myself to write an entry. Because this beats doing important stuff.

Okay few questions about them. Like w/ smorty and blogvertise, around how much per wk do you make? And how long have you been doing? Also, do you know how long I would have to do? Like I don’t want to do it FOREVER, maybe a few months or so, who knows. And how does paypal work? I don’t have it but I might just get it and heck, maybe people will even maje donations or something lol.
Girl. I just washed my hair today after 3 wks of not washing it =|… don’t judge me LOL. I’m sitting here w/ four afro puffs ’cause I have to comb it little by little before blow drying it, THEN flat ironing it. I’ma be busy for like 3 hours or so =[.

Haha, I wash my hair almost daily but I hate combing it so I know how you feel. My hair is about to my mid thigh and is a pain to comb. I just wash it and put it straight into a bun then do this for a week or so, aghhh~
Oo, congrats on all the work you’ve done. I’m procrastinating on my Public Speaking homework. I’ll probably do it tomorrow before class, haha~ ^_____^

I love washing my hair man! i have to restrain myself from washing it so often. lol. the only part i hate is oiling my hair, cause i havn’t relaxed it in a while and it hurts -_-.

Well, with everything you described (being Black, which I imediatelly associate with “wonderful rich hair by default”, with hair that needs oil, so I guess it’s dry as well…?), you obviously can get away with not washing it for 2 weeks. I would not be able to. My hair needs to be washed every 3-4 days, but the washing process never lasts longer than ten minutes, plus it’s completely straight, so I don’t need to blow dry it.
But your hair must be gorgeous, so…it’s worth it, right? Mine sucks, so the only satisfaction about this is that washing it is a piece of cake.

Damn.
Im sorry, that must really suck to go through so much trouble for your hair, if it was me id be bald. But Im sure thats not an appealing option for you lol.
Yay for making progress on your routine and not procrastinating. Your several steps ahead of me. I told myself I’d work out but guess what, hasn’t happend yet -_-’

Woo for the gradual defeat of procrastination! That’s awesome that you’ve gotten so much done. I wash my hair every day, cause its bitchy and… grows fungus that growls at me if its left any longer lol, but it must suck to have to put that much effort into your hair ![]()

Oh, hair problems.. I’m washing my hair everyday, but my problem is it’s brittle and so it doesn’t look too good as well.. so you can say I can relate to that..
Good luck on the papers.. ^^

I HATE washing my hair >.>
But sadly i have to wash it allmost every day. I have the kind of hair that has no style, only straight and just won’t do anything. On top of that my hair is so thin that it breaks of so easely that it’s not evey funny anymore!
But own well we all have to go treu the pain of washing and combing our hair to look great for other people
Have a great week ![]()

I have to wash my hair everyday two days otherwise it would end up greasy, which is really weird since my hair is so dry. Good luck with the papers!

Ugh…hair.
I’m half black and half white and I got the jeans for for stereotypical white hair. I have to wash it every other day or else I look like a bum and it stinkin’ stinks. The worst thing is that my sisters all got more stereotypical black hair, so they get to do things with their hair I could never do. They get to get it relaxed (which is something I’ve always wanted to get done, but the hair dresser said my hair was too thin and it would probably fall out if I tried.
) It makes me so mad! But hey. It’s whatever. I’ll get over it! lol. But from what my sisters go through, I completely understand your dilemma!
Good luck with school! I procrastinate, so I totally understand what you’re going through! I hope you get your papers done!
Good luck!

Just Got My Hair Relaxed…
…And It Feels SO Good!
Wow. It’s as if washing my hair didn’t really do a thing! It was beautiful, of course, but I had to use the help of a flat iron to do that. This time I just brought on the pH factor, which really did wonders. Ma…
