Dyson Vacuum Cleaners

Spring cleaning time is approaching rapidly. That’s the time of year when most people look for new vacuum cleaners. My family will be looking for a new vacuum cleaner this year because our old one just wasn’t powerful enough. It kicked the bucket a few months back and we’ve been using a combination of elbow grease (the broom) and the car vacuum to clean the carpeted areas (all of the upstairs), which has proven to be quite annoying. This dilemma has led us to budgeting for a new vacuum cleaner this spring.
The Ball Animal (both registered Trademarks to Dyson) is my favorite model so far. I’ve been searching, and the design of this baby plus all the features offered are unbeatable. Lilac is my favorite color, so the fact that this has purple in the design is one reason why I like it. It costs £359.99. I didn’t look up the US equivalent yet, but I know that means it’s over $300. My mom probably won’t go for it unless she gets a fat tax refund, but I’m sure this would be a great investment. I know this vacuum cleaner would not give up on us just because we forget to change the filter once in a while.
Another thing that I like about it is that it has a flexible steering and it pivots to get into corners, etc. For it’s size, it has amazing features and benefits that normally only come with small vaccums. It also has a clear bin so that we probably won’t even forget to change it, and we can also watch the dirt being sucked up!
The Impending Recession

I have to admit, all these signs of a recession are getting on my nerves. It’s probably caused by me because I haven’t been working…that relates to no spending. If I do spend, it’s not in the right market. It’s all in school, textbooks, and food. The government needs people to waste their money feeding Target and Wal-Mart $500,000/day per store* on junk goodies such as clothes, dishes that will collect dust, lawn items, and other little odds and ends.
Today I received the third e-mail from HSBC in the past two weeks telling me that the Federal Reserve has dropped rates, and therefore my Online Savings Account rate has been dropped again. It’s at 3.55% (8x the national average supposedly), which isn’t bad, but I just have about $20 in there now, so the more cents I earn per month, the better. And instead the amount is going down. It dropped 0.25% since January 29th. I’m getting pissed off at the Federal Reserve.
I’m typing this from Safari, which I’ve been loving since I downloaded it earlier today. Thanks to Angela for letting me know that they have a beta version available for Windows users! Firefox was getting on my nerves. And Safari is faster anyways, so I figured I might as well use something that I won’t get mad at. Apparently utilities like Firefox and Cutenews can’t keep up with their user’s demands. I couldn’t live with either though, I had to upgrade!
* The Target I worked at in 2005-2006 made around that much per day during the holiday season.
Gray & Sons Pre-owned Jewelry

What do you think about rolex watches? I’ve never had the luxury of owning one, and I’m not that much of a watch person anyway. I must admit that the watches are gorgeous, though. And some are handsome. I was just thinking that a watch would be the perfect gift for my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day (which is only 10 days away!). And nothing beats the prestige of a rolex. The thing is, the price of such a watch is sky high. And we all know how much I complain about money! Gray & Sons makes this gift more affordable by offering pre-owned rolex watches.
This engagement ring is one gift I wouldn’t mind receiving for Valentine’s Day. It comes with the wedding band, is 18 karat gold, and only costs $950! That’s cheap for an engagement/wedding ring combo. It’s marquise diamonds, but I can’t tell the difference between real & fake diamonds anyway. I don’t even care as long as it’s shiny! *drools*
Fine estate jewelry are other luxury items that Gray & Sons offers us pre-owned. Estate jewelry is probably the first luxury items that I’ll own after I’m rich. I will be rich…eventually. And when that happens, I’ll have a few splurges, and fine jewelry will be among the most important. If you’re the type that likes birthstone jewelry (I know I love my birthstone–Peridot), you can find such items here. It doesn’t even really matter what you’re looking for–there are bracelets, anklets, necklaces, and other types of jewelry including rings. There’s something for everyone.
