I studied on Tuesday with Anna and my sister. We were in one of the private study rooms at Nova. My sister ended up falling asleep, I nearly fell asleep, and Anna talked on the phone. We’re all pretty bad at studying. Even after minimizing as many distractors as possible. On Wednesday we actually got plenty of work done. Our Bio teacher gives us review sheets, and I finished 1 out of 2 1/2 pages!

I did a TFCD shoot on Thursday. The guy was kind of perverted. He equates sexy with “titties hanging out.” And I said, “No!” He wanted me to take pictures with just a jacket covering my nipples. Senor es muy tonto! I would freak out and so would my mom if I do that. Imagine years down the line when I’m a pediatrician…some kid tells their mom that they saw their doctor naked online. Ha! That would be sooo hilarious! It would be embarrassing on my end, though. I’m sure of it!

So, it looks like I will be taking time off of school. I’m indebted to the school by a gazillion dollars and it will take me a good while to work that off. That probably means I’ll lose my scholarship, so I’ll probably end up transferring to a different school. As of yesterday they placed a hold on my account for an excessive balance, along with a nice $50 late fee.

I got a babysitting job for evenings for the next two weeks, so that’s something to look forward to. Also, spring break is coming up! I really need a break from school to just relax.

There’s a lot open for discussion here. How much are you being paid for these photo shoots (perverted or normal)? If it’s not a lot, see if you can buy the exclusive rights from the photographer, and sell them yourself. Photoshelter.com is a good place to start; you upload your pictures and people, magazines, websites buy temporary rights to the photos for a fee that you set, or they can buy prints. You could be selling a 5×7 for $75. Surely if you can make a showcase for yourself, you’d get more selling your photos than having someone pay you to take the pictures and sell the photos himself. It’s not limited to modeling shots, though; if you like to take pictures at all, put them on there.

Now this issue with Best Buy. I bought my computer from them last September, along with their “performance service plan” because it covers accidental damage and I’m planning on throwing it out my apartment window (7th floor) and getting a new computer. It also covers everything else, so I brought it into Best Buy when it broke recently, and they sent it out for service. It took them a week to get around to looking at it, and I pestered Best Buy every day for the status of it. Yesterday, they told me the service center shipped it back to the store and it’ll be here either today or Monday. They ended up replacing the motherboard (for free). So, yes, they’re slow as hell, since it’s a matter of hooking up my computer to their computer and it’ll tell them what’s wrong with it, but they’re somewhat efficient and their extended warranties are decent. I’d rather wait the two weeks it took to get my computer fixed than wait the five months and attorney general calls it would have taken to send it back to the manufacturer. Nonetheless, the manufacturer’s warranty was actually void, since I’d upgraded the memory and downgraded to XP.

They’re all a pain in the ass, though. Modeling photographers and huge electronic corporations alike.
