Take My Stress Away…
February 12, 2008 Filed Under: College, Faith, God, Religion 312 words
Oh my gosh…as one thing ends…another thing begins. And I’m not talking about exciting stuff! I studied my ass of Sunday and Monday morning, too, and I think I did OK on the test. Sound familiar? The last time I said that I got a 70%…after the curve! Anyways, I’m thinking now I can put Biology on hold for a while and study for my math test that’s this Friday/Saturday (it’s an online class, so we can take it any day up until Sat at 11:55PM). Boy, were my thoughts wrong! We just got an e-mail from the Bio teacher saying that our Lab notebooks (questions from each section’s end) are due along with the Lab practical that we’ll have to take next week Friday. So, I haven’t started the notebook yet, and I have yet to memorize a gazillion organisms (fungi, protists, and plants) for the practical. To top it off, I still have the two research proposals to do…one due the 17th and one due the 18th. I seriously can’t wait for those two 7-week classes to be done (Psychology).
The only thing that has really been helping me relieve stress is church. It’s such a stress-free zone that I love the little one-hour escape that I got last week Wednesday. It was my first time going back since the incident the week before Christmas. One of the youth leaders was praying for me, and instead of a prayer, she was casting the devil out of me. I can’t take that extremist stuff, so I decided to find a different church but couldn’t find any that are actually sane. It was really ridiculous…I mean, I know I’m not possessed. Crazy? Maybe…but not possessed. I know that God is with me…and protecting me…always.

I was never good at tests no matter how much I studied. But I was ok in History.
BTW: Thanks for visiting my blog. ![]()

Wow are you busy! I always hated science so more power to you. Good luck in getting everything done!

Yuck, biology… Good luck with those assignments and good luck with studying! I have a few papers due this Friday but I’ve yet to begin them. I don’t even think I’m going to my paper for psych… We do one each wk, missing just one shouldn’t hurt me too much… right? lol.
That’s cool that you have a place to , to go and relieve your stress. And wow @ demon possession =/.

Rofl! A demon child? Can’t you just dissect your exorcist and turn in the corpse as your biology project instead of writing reports? Biology papers are lame.

Casting the devil out of you? That’s a bit much. I’ve been praying myself lately, mostly for my husband. It always makes me feel better when I’m “talking” with God.
Good luck with all your school work. I know how tough things can get. I myself have been struggling to keep up with everything.

I was never a big fan of science classes, especially Biology. I did have a great teacher, which helped alleviate most of my boredom and frustration. I wish you lots of luck in getting everything done. I feel your pain! ^^

I’m glad you found a new church. That would be a bit much for me too. I hope you do well with all of your school work! ![]()

Science classes hate me. You’ll get everything done, it’ll just be crazy stressful! Oh the joys of school, eh?

Good luck with your classes. Don’t worry, you’ll get it all done. And when you look back on it, you’ll give yourself a nice pat on the back ;D
Church therapeutic? Hmm, I need to check out that church you’re attending lol. Then again, I’m a crazy Catholic so… yeah ![]()

Aww… hope you are going to be able to get everything done!
Good luck with your classes for sure!
Definitely Church is a good outlet… I always enjoyed church, especially my friends, they’re always great and supportive… and the 1-2 hours makes a difference.

Everglades By Day, Paper By Night…
Tomorrow morning I have to wake up early in order to get to school by 7:45AM. I am not looking forward to it. We are going to the Everglades, which I think will be a fun and interesting experience. What sucks is that we have to write a report about it …

Greetings ANGELIC
I came across your post concerning the trinity, Is Our God A Triune God?
Just thought I would send you a couple of links which hopefully you would find useful; whilst you rightfully question this so-called orthodox doctrine of the trinity.
(I did try emailing you but your email address doesn’t appear to work).
There is a great video called “The Human Jesus” at http://www.jesusishuman.com
This video shows many reasons why people don’t believe in a trinity!
Also I recommend the following site: http://www.restorationfellowship.org

Thank you for posting that, Adam. I think I’m pretty set in stone that God isn’t a trinity, but I will take a look at that video once I’m fully awake. I’m guessing you found this on the college scholarship website?
