March 2008 Blog Earnings
March 31, 2008 Filed Under: Finances 278 words
Here are the screen caps for March! I received $60 more than last month, but in all I’ve actually made less this month. Blogsvertise pays a month later, that’s the main thing. Things slowed down a bit at Smorty and Blogsvertise, too. I don’t invest much time at Sponsored Reviews since you have to bid for opportunities, but I do receive a task here and there.
Just like last time, the first screen cap is a donut chart of the earning distribution, and the second is a PayPal screen cap. The PayPal screen cap is of my withdrawals this time because Blogsvertise makes each payment separately so there were two pages of received payments.

Total = $426.31
What I have gathered so far is that paid blogging is not a reliable way to make money. If you are not careful, you will lose your PR and then your earnings will pretty much be halted. Then you will have to strategize in order to make money using affiliate programs, CTR and the like. It is easy and quick way to see earnings, though, since none of them (that I am a part of, anyway) have a minimum amount that you must earn before getting your money.
What’s With All The 0% APR Balance Transfer Offers?
March 31, 2008 Filed Under: General 261 words
We have pretty much all seen offers for 0% APR balance transfers. Those who are smart have taken advantage of these offers and played the transferring balance game, in which they transfer balances from a high APR credit card to the 0% APR card. They then have 6-12 months to pay off the new card interest-free. It has been a great way to reduce debt, or even to borrow money interest-free.
Many credit card companies are reducing the amount of solicitations they mail out, so offers for no fee balance transfers are being reduced as well. Such offers may soon become a thing of the past. One of the main reasons is actually the transfer balance game. Credit card companies use this as a way to gain new customers and hopefully make money off of them in the future, but many people are paying off the cards by the end of the offer period. Some are even moving the balance to yet a new 0% APR card.
The credit card companies are losing money in this way and may there may soon be 0 balance transfers available. Even if they are not eliminated completely, new rates of 4%+ for balance transfers with a transaction fee of 3%+. If you have plenty of credit card debt and you are in good payment standing, you may want to take advantage of such an offer as quickly as possible…before it is too late.
Drama Queens

There are some people in life who really do not have a clue. They think they know what they want, but really have no clue. And because their lives are so miserable, they try to bring others down with them. I guess the saying “Misery loves company” is true. I just cannot, for the life of me, figure out why such people do not just find something to do. I mean is it really that much fun to create havoc? I would never know, because it just is not in me to terrorize people or cater to drama.
I’ve done a few trade shoots lately that I am waiting to get back pictures from. I’m supposed to pick up the pictures from one of the photographer’s tomorrow. Another one of them said the pictures were not up to par (so I told him to put them on Flick’r and let me take a look-see…I saved them and put them up on MySpace, LOL). Yet another had a heart attack. I feel sorry for him…so old and having to do odd jobs to make money. Too bad there isn’t much security in photography until you are up to par with the celebrity photographers.
