As promised years ago, I am now posting a donut chart and PayPal proof of payment from three blog advertising networks. I am happy that I received many opportunities. There are quite a few people on the Smorty forums who say they’re not making much money. I think they’re just not looking hard enough for opportunities! =P
Here is the PayPal screen cap. Lang Tech Corp is also known as Blogsvertise. I’ve actually made enough money to pay my car insurance ($250) with Blogsvertise, but they take a whole month to payout, so those earnings will be in the March screen cap.

Now, unless you’ve got superhuman eyes, you’ll need to click on the thumbnail(s) to see a bigger picture. I hope these screen caps will encourage you to sign up, especially with Smorty!

Totally jealous, but congrats! I remember back in the 90s people could make a living from a simple blog because advertising programs like Google Adsense had nice CTRs of well over 5%. Now it’s down to like, .3%. It hurts those of us who don’t have 3,000 visitors a day. Then back in…I don’t remember; early 2000s, I think. Well, I read a blog complaining that the days of advertising on blogs are over, because of such a lack of CTR payouts. Apparently you prove them wrong; if you work hard enough, you could make a living by blogging. Assuming you get the same Smorty payout next month…$600? =)
I think my problem is impatience. The internet is slow, but people are fast. It takes far too long for PR to be updated, but I have somewhere around 150 backlinks to my blog, in a little over 3 months (2 of which I basically did nothing). I think I’m so impatient because I’d like to get a dedicated server and I’d like to get a new Mac. I can’t advertise Ferocious, because I’m swamped enough as it is manually approving sites, and gaining next to nothing from it.
Maybe it’s just a lack of a computer that’s so frustrating. I’m not exactly sure how I’ll even get close to a new Mac if the friggin’ Gateway breaks every two weeks and I have to send it out for service for three weeks.

How much $$$ do you get for a referral? After this week (mid-terms) I’m probably going to sign up with it, heck maybe even earlier & I’ll be using your referral =]. That’s a lot of money you had, esp w/ smorty!
