I find it strange that strangers can understand me better than people I’ve known for years. I don’t know if it is something about being around a person for too long…maybe people become numb to the pains of people that they are around frequently. Maybe they feel they have no reason to use tact. I think the word I should be using is respect.

Respect is such an important thing to me. It can make or break a friendship. I can be friends with someone who is the complete opposite of me, as long as they can show me the respect that I will undoubtedly show them. It’s about respecting my choice of saying “tomatoes” when you choose to say “tomatoes.”

That being said, there are certain people in my life who are about to be dropped. I don’t have many friends to begin with, so I’ll become a loner. I think I like it better that way, though. Those were the days when I didn’t have to invest energy and love into people who don’t feel the same.

I agree with you about respect. :)

Respect is something I totally need as well…If you don’t respect me, I won’t respect you, simply as.

The friends drop thing…I did that two years ago and it did me well because my so called friends didn’t respect me, you know and now that they’re out of my life, I know who I am.

I’ve become a loner too, it’s ok. No point in maintaining friendships where you put forth a lot of energy for a little bit in return. Meh.

A lot of people don’t really know how to respect others, I think. I don’t know. I think after a while, people stop trying to be “polite” and somehow they also stop trying to be as respectful since they’re comfortable around you. I don’t know.

Yeah, I get what you mean.

And besides, if you read the first comment on my new blog about stereotypes, there’s one person who showed absolutely no respect for my opinions and my thoughts.

I hate how people complain about my complaining. It’s my blog, if you don’t like it, and go die in a hole. Besides, no one said you had to read it.

Sometimes I wonder what we’d all be doing had we been born 200 years earlier. As much as I don’t like dealing with kids, would I be a whore of a mom? They didn’t have models back then…what would you be doing? It’s like the internet takes people away from what life used to be, and the anonymity of it all helps strangers become friends and friends become strangers.

BTW, I say tomato.
