The Delayed Lifestyle

Everything in my life seems to be put on hold lately. The fixing of my car has been delayed for tomorrow, which means that the fixing of my brakes (which is also a part of my car, LOL) has been delayed as well. Once my car is completely fixed I’ll feel much more secure driving it, and that of course relates to feeling less stress.

I had a relatively bad day yesterday. I don’t want to talk about the events that happened…but it was just one of those things that hurt your feelings and make you feel shitty but isn’t really that important because the bull came from people you don’t know well and won’t ever see again. You can tell I’m still a little pissed because I used the words pissed and shitty…words that I never say, let alone write.

My payment from Smorty is over a week late (although that means a bigger payout) and I really need it for something important. Yes, more important than paying off credit card bills, which I’ve been doing pretty good at. I’ve paid off two credit cards and transferred some of the balances from other credit cards to these since they both have 0.00% balance transfers for six months with no fees or strings attached. That means I can pay down the balances faster and just may be able to secure a loan come the end of the summer.

I’ve been putting off studying for Chemistry, which I really need to do since the last test has to be the test that is dropped. I got a 30%, which translates to an F. If I get 80% on all 3 of the rest plus the make-up test, then I’ll be able to get a B. If I get higher (an average of 85%) then I’ll get an A. I’m glad that the grading scale for this class is bumped down by 10…it’s 10% easier to obtain each grade.

I’ve also delayed putting Nadiyya’s plan of action into play. I’m just so darn lazy! You would think that I’d be quick at jumping on the bandwagon to making mega money…but I’m just a moron. A lazy bum. Sometimes I hate myself.

Reciprocity Factor Equals Increased Sales

Promotional products can really help to get your company’s name out there. These products are actually like little gifts that your potential customers and clients can use on a daily basis. This daily use increases familiarity with your company so that the services your company offers will be kept in mind when those services are finally needed.

People are also more prone to purchase services from places that have given them tokens to show that their business is appreciated. In Psychology, it’s known as the reciprocity factor, and people actually view their business as a way of giving back for getting the promotional products in the first place.

There are many different items available for promoting your company. Such items include mugs and drinkware, stress balls, and my all-time favorite…electronics. Any one of these products, or the hundreds of others that are available at Branders.com, can help to foster company awareness and increase sales via the reciprocity factor.

My Car Needs A New Manifold Or Timing Belt

March 20, 2008   Filed Under: Car stuff   195 words

For the longest my car has been making a really annoying screeching sound. I thought it was the timing belt because millions of people have told me so, but when I went to get the oil change the other day one of the guys told me I need the manifold replaced, because that’s why my car is screeching. My mom had made an appointment for 10AM today to fix the timing belt because she didn’t want it bursting on me, so we are still going to go in and get whatever fixed. She’s paying for it and I’m so thankful because as always, I’m broke. The timing belt also needs changing, but not now if it’s not the first priority. According to my car manual it should have been changed at 60,000 miles, and I’m almost at 80,000.

Imagine! No more screeching car! I won’t be the laughing stock of the city and people won’t know that it is me pulling up in the driveway. No, seriously…whenever I get home my little sister has the door open and everything because she could hear the sound from a mile away. After today, hopefully that won’t happen again!
