I just finished watching the BET Awards and I have to say that I wasn’t very impressed this year. 
I haven’t watched it for a few years but I still expected it to be a great show. There were no surprises and the few things they did to try and spice up the performances were kind of corny.
I think the first thing that pissed me off was Keyshia Cole’s performance. I expected better and she didn’t deliver like she should have. Or maybe it was Usher’s performance of “In This Club” or whatever the title of the song is….where was Beyonce? Probably catering to her hubby. 
After that it all went downhill…with the racist jokes, overtly sexual comments, subpar performances, and overall corniness…
I have to say that I did enjoy Alicia Key’s performance. I’m glad she repped for Obama and I loved when “I Get So Weak” began and led into songs with the girl groups I love so much. I also thought Rihanna performed VERY well. But…where was Mariah, though? And how come there was no Amerie or Toni Braxton? I dunno, I guess I’m so behind the times that I don’t know that they didn’t release any songs last year. And where was Missy?
I took my sister to take the Driver’s License test today. She passed! She was so happy she immediately let everybody who’s anybody know. I’m going to take my neighbor to do her driving test on Friday if I have the time. Since my sister got hers two of my neighbors and my aunt (and my aunt is WAYYY overdue) are ready to go get theirs.

I liked the show this year, favorite part being the Chris Brown w/ Ciara skit. That was ONE surprise. In Usher’s song, Love in This Club, Beyonce is in part II/Remix, so she wasn’t really expected to be in his performance. Toni Braxton and Amerie.. oh gosh. They weren’t important for a couple years now, why should they be performing.
I’m coming off rude, but I totally thought other wise. I liked it. Wasn’t the best as past years, but not as bad as you put it out to be. Yet, we have our own opinions so yeah..
P.S. I love Rihanna now. She’s improved so much.

Oh, just realized. You were also right about the racist jokes! They were pretty insane and too many. Making the “BLACK” look like bad people. Lol

I wish I could watch that here, but I don’t know what time will it be if ever plus no cable with that channel yet..oh well
I prolly can see it in youtube?
Congratz on your sister’s driver’s test…one of the hardest test to pass here actually..hehehe
