Crazy Busy

I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t even had time to login and delete my spam. I have three e-mails from Despair that I haven’t touched yet, but thankfully I found the time to deactivate my account. I’ve been babysitting and cleaning. I’ve also been taking care of the dogs, of course!
I still have plenty of cleaning to do, though, believe it or not. The car, my room, and a few of the areas that the dogs love so much.
I bought the dogs K9 Advantix because I found a huge tick on one of the dogs while she was on Frontline (and it was just a week after the darn application!). Now, hopefully, there ain’t no bugs on them. Because bugs on them means bugs on me. And bugs on me means “bye, bye doggies!” Lol. Just kidding…or am I?
Whatever

Yeah, that’s what I said. My mom’s really good news was kinda squat, I think. I don’t think it will pan out. My sister’s going to Jamaica for two weeks, and I’m jealous. I just don’t have the time to go right now.
One of our cousins was murdered, so she’s going to attend the funeral and then stay for a little vacation before school starts back in August.
Ah, to be young and worry-free! I remember when I was her age and didn’t have to worry about anything. I could take trips to Canada and Indiana and pretty much wherever without worrying about losing out on money. How I wish I could be a stress-free kid again!
Dogs are amazing little animals. Just don’t get one if you don’t have the time to let them go potty. Trust me, you don’t want to have to clean up dog poop that the dog has run into and spread all over the house. We take ours out at the MOST every 6 hours to be sure we don’t have any unexpected messes. It surely helps that there’s quite a few of us living here, so someone’s almost always home. We also put them on a feeding schedule (right now 8AM and 8PM since the Pekingese is on meds), but then we’ll change it to maybe 9AM and 6PM since I want to sleep in later and go to sleep earlier and I seem to have become the “feeding lady.” Which means I’m the “walking lady,” too. I’m the only one who doesn’t see walking them as a chore, I think. But maybe that’s just for now…
Because One Doggy Just Isn’t Enough

We adopted another dog! The new one is a Cocker Spaniel mix. She weighs about 14lbs and won’t get much bigger because of whatever she’s mixed with. But she still has the most adorable hair on her ears and tail. And she’s got a very interesting personality. One of my sister’s friends commented that she didn’t know dogs had such strong personalities of their own.
She runs and jumps and licks and walks (yes, on two feet!) and almost always has a wagging tail. When she sees people she’s suspicious of (which is most of the people she sees, LOL) she barks or howls, and may even approach them. But, she never bites and always runs away if said person starts coming towards her. To put it simply, she’s all bark and no bite. But she’s just the most wonderful bundle of joy.
She shakes violently when she’s anxious (or scared, or both…), like for the first two days when we took her home. Then there was the day we took her to the vet (maybe she thought we would leave her?), and then today when we gave her a bath for the first time. And you should see the way she dries herself off! My mom had her in towels and put her on the bed so she could blow-dry her hair (because it’s not really fur) and she just started rolling around to dry her ears, back, belly, tail, etc. You would think she had epilepsy if you saw it. My new $10 phone doesn’t have video recording, so I can’t let you guys see for yourselves.
But trust me, it is a sight to behold!
She also has a jealous streak. If I’m petting the Pekingese, or putting on her collar, or taking it off, or doing anything for her, this little quirky Cocker Spaniel comes and moves my hand with her head or feet and lick them ferociously until she’s the center of attention. Can you say spoiled?
