I Gotta Get Organized!

I absolutely need to be more organized! Can you imagine how much easier my life would be and how much better my grades would be if I could only focus? I know for a fact that I’d be an overachieving brainiac…and I’d probably have a new custom-made WordPress theme everyday! LOL.

Young Alligator At The Everglades

The Everglades trip wasn’t too bad. We saw a million different alligators (and some people even tasted fried alligator, LMAO) of different sizes. The picture to the right (click for a bigger view!) is the only one that I took. One of the reasons I didn’t really take any was because of my many problems. First of all, I forgot to change into my sneakers when getting out of my car (we had the option to go in the school’s bus and I chose to do that instead of drive for an hour by myself), so I was walking around in my flip flops (thank goodness it was dry season and a friend gave me bug spray. Secondly, I was feeling faint the whole time. It was hot and I’m prone to fainting spells…so leave it to me to be a party pooper! Of last importance, I forgot my camera in the car, too…so that picture was taken with my phone camera…and I didn’t want to take a bunch of pictures on my phone (probably because I wasn’t feeling well?). I couldn’t wait to get back home and when I finally did I had to take my math test.

I got 80% on it. That wasn’t bad, but I should have done better. It was about slopes, equations of lines, parallel & perpendicular lines, so I definitely should have done better. I shall try on the next one. For now I have to focus on finishing my two proposals (today and tomorrow night are the deadlines), and studying for the lab practical (Friday) and the Chemistry test (Monday).

I babysat for the wonderful family from New York today. They are in town for President’s Day weekend. Many people from up north came to Florida for this weekend, actually. Anyways, we went swimming. The girls are so well behaved and funny. I would babysit for them anytime.

Everglades By Day, Paper By Night

Tomorrow morning I have to wake up early in order to get to school by 7:45AM. I am not looking forward to it. We are going to the Everglades, which I think will be a fun and interesting experience. What sucks is that we have to write a report about it afterwards. I’m not an early riser, though, so that’s my main issue with that. Getting to school at 8AM is hard enough, I’ve always been at least 10 minutes late…except for the day of the test.

Speaking of tests…I got a 89% after the 10-point curve on the Biology test! I was so happy. That takes a teeny bit of stress from me because I don’t have to worry about doing too great on the practical as long as I keep that up. Plus I did an extra credit assignment, although I don’t think it’s worth much. Every little bit counts! I always take any extra credit I can get.

I can’t wait for this semester to be over with. I know I’ve written (and said) that a million times…but I really can’t wait. I still haven’t finished my paper, which means that the teacher probably won’t look over the draft. He said we would have to give him at least four days and it is due in two days. I just want it to be over!
