March 2008 Blog Earnings

Here are the screen caps for March! I received $60 more than last month, but in all I’ve actually made less this month. Blogsvertise pays a month later, that’s the main thing. Things slowed down a bit at Smorty and Blogsvertise, too. I don’t invest much time at Sponsored Reviews since you have to bid for opportunities, but I do receive a task here and there.

Just like last time, the first screen cap is a donut chart of the earning distribution, and the second is a PayPal screen cap. The PayPal screen cap is of my withdrawals this time because Blogsvertise makes each payment separately so there were two pages of received payments.

March 2008 Earnings Breakdown      March 2008 PayPal Screencap
Total = $426.31

What I have gathered so far is that paid blogging is not a reliable way to make money. If you are not careful, you will lose your PR and then your earnings will pretty much be halted. Then you will have to strategize in order to make money using affiliate programs, CTR and the like. It is easy and quick way to see earnings, though, since none of them (that I am a part of, anyway) have a minimum amount that you must earn before getting your money.

The Delayed Lifestyle

March 20, 2008   Filed Under: Car stuff, Finances, Life   382 words

Everything in my life seems to be put on hold lately. The fixing of my car has been delayed for tomorrow, which means that the fixing of my brakes (which is also a part of my car, LOL) has been delayed as well. Once my car is completely fixed I’ll feel much more secure driving it, and that of course relates to feeling less stress.

I had a relatively bad day yesterday. I don’t want to talk about the events that happened…but it was just one of those things that hurt your feelings and make you feel shitty but isn’t really that important because the bull came from people you don’t know well and won’t ever see again. You can tell I’m still a little pissed because I used the words pissed and shitty…words that I never say, let alone write.

My payment from Smorty is over a week late (although that means a bigger payout) and I really need it for something important. Yes, more important than paying off credit card bills, which I’ve been doing pretty good at. I’ve paid off two credit cards and transferred some of the balances from other credit cards to these since they both have 0.00% balance transfers for six months with no fees or strings attached. That means I can pay down the balances faster and just may be able to secure a loan come the end of the summer.

I’ve been putting off studying for Chemistry, which I really need to do since the last test has to be the test that is dropped. I got a 30%, which translates to an F. If I get 80% on all 3 of the rest plus the make-up test, then I’ll be able to get a B. If I get higher (an average of 85%) then I’ll get an A. I’m glad that the grading scale for this class is bumped down by 10…it’s 10% easier to obtain each grade.

I’ve also delayed putting Nadiyya’s plan of action into play. I’m just so darn lazy! You would think that I’d be quick at jumping on the bandwagon to making mega money…but I’m just a moron. A lazy bum. Sometimes I hate myself.

I Want A Digital Camera!

I’m still very upset about my camera that broke last year on New Year’s Day. Yesterday I came across the Fuji FinePix S8000fd and fell in love. I read a review at Cnet about the image quality and then decided to go with the Canon PowerShot SX100 IS, which is around the same price. I don’t have the money to buy either one right now, but I’ve been reading numerous reviews so that when I do buy one, it will be the right one.

I think I will go with the Fuji. I have a great history with them as far as image quality, although I’ve had negative experiences with them as far as longevity. You would think I’d learn a lesson after two of their cameras broke on me within a year and a half. I’m thinking this time I’ll get a camera case to lug it around in, and purchase the extended warranty as well. Pretty much do my best to take care of the darn thing and see if that makes any difference.

It has been so long since I’ve had a camera that I’m tempted to just buy it now. I don’t want to, though, because I’m doing so well with paying off credit card bills. I’ve paid off one and a 1/2, and expect to finish paying off the other 1/2 by the end of this month. My credit card debt has been reduced by 20%, and my overall debt by 6% (only the credit card debt shows up on my credit report, though). It feels great. In a few months, hopefully I can get a loan to pay off the rest of my debt. Maybe I can even stay in school!
