Florida’s Stupid Temperature Changes

I’ve managed to catch another cold…despite all the Vitamin C I’ve been consuming lately. I’ve had plenty of homemade smoothies with real fruit, as well as other healthy (but yummy) delicacies. I’ve been sick since Sunday morning. I’m wondering if it is allergies related to visiting the Everglades, but I really have no clue.

On a better note, I realized that my other proposal isn’t due until Thursday night. This has been a major blessing because I didn’t feel like doing anything yesterday because of the cold. I even skipped Chemistry class. I managed to make it to Biology class, although I was 10 minutes late. I think I got most of the notes, though.

I’m meeting with a few strangers from my online math class in a few hours so that we can just relax and do math. This will really help since I tend to not actually do work when I’m by myself or with friends. Working with these people will be positive motivation to get something accomplished.

Slowly, But Surely…

I’m getting better. The coughing is subsiding, so I guess it’s not bronchitis. It is related to my bronchial tubes, though.

School is taking a toll on me. I have 5 classes right now. Two of them are seven week classes, and pretty much that means they cram the whole semester’s worth of work into those 7 weeks. I don’t mind because I know once they’re done I’ll have more time to focus on Pre-calculus, Chemistry, and Biology. The 7 week classes are Behavior Modification and Social Psychology (both Psych courses). It wouldn’t be so bad if I were better at time management. I’d really like to pass all of them with a B or higher, and there are a few of them I know I should get A’s in if I apply myself.

I think after this semester I will be taking a break from college. It’s not because I’m tired of it, though, it’s because of the price. If I do that, I’ll be transferring to a different university for my last 2 years, because I’ll lose the scholarships from my current school if I take a break. There’s just so much from this semester that I still owe and haven’t been able to pay off as yet, so I’ll probably need the rest of this year working 2 jobs to pay it off. If I can do it over the summer, that’ll be great, but the job I was expecting to call me back for the 2nd step (a knowledge/communication test) hasn’t done so as yet (aka The City). That would have been a great job, paying $15.49/hr., and guaranteeing me 40hrs./wk (and overtime on occasion), so I would have been set to pay off all my school stuff (including credit cards) within about 6 months.

I’m Going Under…

I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Am I developing bronchitis? The cold is gone but I have this incessant cough that doesn’t want to go away. And it’s weird, too. I take cough drops/cough medicine and both are to no avail. What’s worse is the cough stops on days off from school (yesterday), but persists throughout class and whenever I’m trying to sleep. That leads to me not sleeping throughout the night.

I was 20 minutes late on Monday and today I didn’t go to Chemistry at all because I didn’t get to school until 8:30, by the time I got to the class it would have been ending in 10 minutes. So much for seeming smart. That’s been thrown out the window!
