New Layout!

I’m so excited that I have a new layout! I thought it would never happen as I’ve been putting it off day after day, week after week, and month after month. I’m pretty pleased with the turnout though although I didn’t spend any time on the image. I was more concerned with coding the layout since I knew that I would forget the little that I had learned about WordPress. I just searched through a few free themes until I remembered that Mimi had a whole bunch that I liked, and eventually I found one of hers that had the general layout that I want (aka this one right here LOL).

There are still many kinks and bugs that I need to work out (including linking to all the content–that should be done sometime tomorrow), but I am so tired that I could collapse any second. I went to bed around three AM and woke up at 9AM to take my sister to school…I haven’t been back to sleep since. And I’m one of those people who need like 9+ hours of sleep so that’s really something. I’ve been working on this layout since about 2 or 3:30 and it’s now 8:30, so I’m going to take a well-deserved break to get something to eat and then take a nap (which may last until tomorrow).

Happy 4^th of July to all in case I don’t show up tomorrow!

I Cannot Wait!

Summer is approaching very quickly. I have six tests left within the next two weeks. I am glad that papers are over with, though. As far as the tests go, I have actually been studying like a nerd because I really want to do well. That and it seems I will be retaking Chemistry because it is likely I will not get higher than a C. And it is likely that I will do even worse than that, anyway.

Yeah, calamity has taken the place of calm. If you do not know what I am referring to then you may want to take a look at this post, it may offer you a little bit of understanding as to what I am talking about. Life sucks…that is all I have to say.

Once school is done I can focus on this website and practice making custom themes. Well, making themes is not difficult, but making widget-ready ones is something that I’d like to explore.

WordPress Upgrade

I just finished upgrading WordPress and one of my plugins were incompatible (the Sticky Post one), so everything was a bit screwed up for a few minutes as I deactivated plugins and reactivated them one by one. If you notice any errors, just leave a comment to let me know and I’ll fix it tomorrow morning.

Right now I have to take a math test for my online class and then I have to go babysitting. I’ve had a busy day and it continues to be busy. I don’t think tomorrow will be any better either. *sighs

I have to say that I don’t like the new admin panel much. I think the format is less clean than the previous one and I’m disappointed in the developers. For one thing, some of the advanced options, as well as the categories, should still be on the sidebar to save me all this scrolling!
