A Yummy Career

The best jobs I’ve ever had involved food. First there was Einstein Bagels, and then there was the Ice Cream Shop (it was family-owned, so don’t really want to mention the exact name), and finally there was Taco Bell. What kept me interested in jobs such as these? Nothing other than love for the food!

I’ve always thought about going to one of the many great cooking schools. Not only would I have a fabulous career that had endless possibilities, but I would be doing something I love and making good money at the same time! I could work on a cruise ship, an airplane, a foreign country, or just a local hotel or restaurant. There’s room for improvement and eventually jobs in management, and just imagine how much my husband- and kids-to-be would love me!

Going to cooking school is a great idea because people love to eat. Even when folks are down to their last penny, they still want to go out and have a great meal. Opening a low-cost venue would be a money-making shindig these days because of the economy. So? Go to cooking school! Make money doing something fun and easy. =)

Time For A New Job?

With everything that has been going on with the economy, you may have been thinking about getting a new job. One that is more than just a job and actually a lifetime career. A career that is fulfilling, pays well, and chuck full of security. Security because who wants to lose their job when things are already as bad as can be?

Maybe it is time to consider nursing school. There are many great schools available to help you prepare for a career in nursing that you are bound to love. Haunted Car?

Yes, I think my car is haunted. Yesterday, one of the tires went flat. It cost me $60 to remedy that and then two of the windows started leaking. If that wasn’t enough, the darn car started stuttering when starting up. And finally, when my brother decided to borrow it to go somewhere (even after I complained about it giving problems and not having money for extra gas) it gave out. It stutters when trying to start up but won’t start up for anything.

And I can only imagine how much this is going to cost me. I was planning on getting the dent from the crash fixed in a few months but with the way things are going I will never get around to it. To make matters worse, there are a million other things going wrong in my life so there’s pretty much no hope for anything getting better.

I remember posting a few months back that I hate when people say “things will get better,” because they don’t always. And in my case, things keep getting worse and worse and worse. And it’s affecting everything because I’m so stressed out I can’t concentrate on doing the things that I need to do. And whoever said once you hit rock bottom there’s nowhere to go but up was wrong, too. Because now that it seems that my life is over everyone around me is having problems too which is adding extra stress. *big sigh*
