Here’s what you have to do step by step:
1. Download the program to a location you’ll be able to find.
2. Unzip & upload the cutenews folder to your server.
3. CHMOD the data folder & contents of the data folder (including archives, backup, emoticons, and upimages folders) to 777.
4. Go to SITE.COM/cutenews/index.php, and follow the instructions. You will come up to a screen that verifies if all files have the correct CHMOD attributes. If there are no errors, continue to the next step. If there are errors, repeat CHMOD and make sure you include all files in the data folder, and the data folder itself. If you need more help, go to step 9 and click contact me.
5. Paste the following include code on a .php page where you want the entries to be displayed:

6. Go to Options > Edit Templates > Active News and paste the following html code right after {short-story}:

7. You may wish to edit the number of entries that are displayed on your blog. To do this, go to step 5 and change 5 to the desired amount. You may also wish to edit the amount of commenters displayed per line or the separation symbol. The 7 and , in the code you copied to the Active News page is what you should edit for this. The Thanks to may also be changed to anything you’d like, such as Plugs, Sweethearts, Commenters, etc.
8. Make sure you delete install.mdu from the cutenews/data folder. If not, anyone can hack into your account and do undesired things, such as: delete your posts, change you from admin to commenter, and other evil things!
